“I am madly fascinated with life. Isn’t it just so strange and breathtaking? I feel like an outsider observing a peculiar world. I feel like an alien who has stumbled across a foreign place. The intense vibrancy of colours, scents, movements, sounds and tastes in each day. The beauty of nature, with its flourishing plants, spectacular living creatures and changing seasons. The way that us humans live, the houses we live in and decorate, the art we make, the struggles we endure. And I am here… immersed in it! I am in utter awe of it all.”

Welcome to the artistic work of Marie Attfield, a poet whose words and photography celebrate life with a heart fully awake.

Through poetry and slow videography of daily life, such as animals, flowers, trees, mountains, sacred temples, and nourishing food, Marie invites viewers into a practice of attentiveness. Her work Her work encourages a slower way of seeing, revealing the wonder, beauty, and divine presence woven through ordinary existence.

Seen through the lens of a deeply sensitive heart, her art explores what becomes visible when we pause long enough to truly notice: the extraordinary nature of being alive, the sacredness of the everyday, and the inner journey towards wholeness.

Influenced by contemplative and embodied traditions such as Sufism, Tantra, Buddhism, and Taoism, Marie articulates the delicate experience of living in this world as a sensitive woman with devotion, discernment, and a deep reverence for life.
